Are you coming Skagway on a cruise ship? Driving up in an RV? Come spend the afternoon with us and our hard working canine athletes! In the summer months we spend our days at Caribou Crossing Trading Post, an easy drive from Skagway. Cruise ship passengers can reach us on any of several excursions (see the listing below), or by renting a car from Avis - this South Klondike Highway guide will show you the magnificent scenery along the route.

    Join us for a ride on our comfortable cart and watch the sled dogs in action while absorbing the beautiful surroundings! See the excitement and hear the barking and howling while the huskies are hooked up to run. Meet some of our 1000-mile lead dogs and up-and-coming Yukon Quest dogs.

    Cuddle our fuzzy husky puppies and take photos! Learn about the way we'll train these dogs and about their natural athletic ability.

    Hear tales from the trail. Yukon Quest finishers give a talk on the equipment we use. See the sleds and all the other gear. Try on our parka stand behind the sled and imagine yourself on the trail, with Fairbanks, Alaska, 1,000 miles and 10-12 days travel ahead!

There are 2 types of packages available.

• a 15-minute ride (total time includes loading) for $37.25 Adult / $35.25 Child.

• a 30-minute total package: 20 minute ride plus a 10 minute talk all about Alaskan huskies and racing long distances, for $57.25 Adult / $50 child.

These prices are in Canadian dollars, and include admission to the Caribou Crossing Museum and admission to see the puppies and meet the sleddogs.
